Winter fires without the fuss - Lay one square under your logs, strike a match and sit down. These fire starters light a wood burning fireplace, wood stove, insert or chiminea straight from cold: no newspaper, no kindling, no fluid and no smell in the room. They still catch when the firewood has been stacked outside in the rain, which is why a box earns its place in the log basket next to your fireplace accessories and wood stove accessories from October through March.
Burns six minutes, wet or dry - Each block is water resistant and holds a steady flame for about six minutes, long enough to catch damp logs, a full chimney of charcoal briquettes or a stack of kindling wood without you crouching over it. Rain, snow and a soggy woodpile stop being the reason a fire will not take. One square does a normal grate; use two when the wood is genuinely wet, when it is below freezing, or when you are lighting a large outdoor fire pit.
Nothing but wax and sawdust - No petroleum smell, no chemical taste and no residue left in the firebox. These natural firestarters are odorless and unscented, so a steak, ribs or a brisket taste of smoke and seasoning instead of accelerant, and a living room does not end up smelling like a garage. Nothing to pour, nothing to spray and nothing to wipe up, which also makes them the safer thing to hand to someone else to light.
160 pre-cut squares in one box - Snap off what you need and put the rest back. No chopping, no measuring, no preparation and no half-used bag falling apart in the cupboard. At one or two per fire that is a full heating season indoors plus a summer of grilling, from a box that stores flat on a shelf, in the garage or in a camping bin. A tidier way to keep a fire starting kit topped up than fire starter sticks, fatwood or starter logs bought by the bundle.
Grill, BBQ, smoker, campfire and fire pit - Drop one into a charcoal chimney starter, or under lump charcoal and briquettes in a kettle grill, kamado, pellet or offset smoker, barbecue or pizza oven, and walk away while the coals come up. Light enough to throw in a rucksack for camping, hiking, backpacking, hunting or fishing, small enough for a bug out bag or emergency kit, and dependable enough for a backyard bonfire, patio heater or outdoor fire pit on a wet evening.
